Dan Garvey

School Principal

Dan Garvey is the principal of St. Charles Parish School. Originally from Appleton, WI, he moved ninety minutes south to attend UW-Milwaukee and absolutely fell in love with the city. Dan graduated from UW-Milwaukee in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in education and received his master’s degree in education administration from Concordia University in 2015. Dan comes to St. Charles with eleven years in education having taught and worked as an administrator in Catholic and public schools in Milwaukee. He spent nine years at St. Anthony School in Milwaukee as a teacher and an administrator, as well as two years in Milwaukee Public Schools as a middle school teacher. It is through these experiences that Dan is prepared to take on the role of principal at St. Charles.

Dan is married to his wife Beth, also an educator, and they celebrated the birth of their second child in February 2021. When he is not at school, Dan lives for every moment to be spent with his wife and children. He also enjoys going for walks, cheering on the Packers, Brewers and Badgers, golfing, camping and mowing the lawn
