Kathy Mullen

6th Grade Homeroom, Middle School Math

BA in Elementary Education, St. Mary's College

I have been teaching for over thirty years at both Catholic and public schools in California, Colorado, Illinois, and Wisconsin. In addition to teaching middle school math, I coach the MATHCOUNTS Competition Series Club and am club leader for the MATH CLUB. I also help students to prepare to compete in the Marquette University High School Fall Math Meet.

I attended both a Catholic high school and college and enjoy teaching in a Catholic school. My husband and I have been married for thirty-six years and have two adult sons. My interests include walking and working out at the gym, watching movies, going to Notre Dame football games, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

I was drawn to St. Charles because of the school's mission and Catholic identity, strong academic reputation, a kind and caring staff, and the welcoming community. I knew that St. Charles would be a good fit for me because of the strong leadership qualities of both the principal and pastor. My main goal at St. Charles is to continue to grow in my faith and teach in a community committed to serving others. I want to instill strong values in my students and help them to live out the school's mission and theme, and I know that my faith journey will continue to be strengthened at St. Charles.
