NEWS & NOTES
Staff Update: We are happy to announce we have filled the Office Assistant position in the School Office. Please welcome Ms. Cindy Hinca to St. Charles! She will be working in the School Office Mondays through Thursdays. Cindy has a wealth of experience in various administrative roles as well as some time spent volunteering and working at St. Anthony on the Lake as a Catechist.

Reconciliation for School Parents: Join us for Reconciliation today! We are offering this sacrament for school parents from 10-11 a.m. in our Church.

Parent-Teacher Conferences: Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Monday, November 4 from 4-7:30 p.m. and Tuesday, November 5 from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Please sign up for a conference with your child's teacher through our online system. Please note there is no school for students on Tuesday, November 5. Parking will be available in our West lot only that day due to St. Charles being the Village of Hartland's host site for voting.

Book Fair: Our annual Book Fair is coming soon! Students will be able to visit the Book Fair and purchase items on November 1, 4, 6 and 7, and parents are welcome to shop during Parent-Teacher Conferences on November 4 and 5 by the school's Library. The Book Fair will also be open before and after all Masses on Saturday, November 2 and Sunday, November 3 in the Borromeo Hall. To check out the online store, please visit Literati's website! Are you interested in volunteering at the Book Fair or donating supplies for our school-wide activity leading up to the fair? We'd love your help!

Jingle Shop: We are excited to announce that our Jingle Shop will be returning this year on Wednesday, December 4! The Jingle Shop is a favorite fundraiser of the students that allows them to purchase gifts for their family at Christmas. We will be collecting small, new items for the kids to choose from. We are also in need of gift wrapping materials (wrapping paper, gift bags, tissue paper, ribbons, and tape) as well as plastic bags (Sendik's, Piggly Wiggly, etc.). Cash donations will be accepted in the School Office for the purchase of items for the Jingle Shop. Proceeds from this year's shop will go toward improving our Tot Lot area near the preschool classrooms. We will be collecting donated items from Monday, October 21 through Tuesday, November 26 in the decorated bin outside of the School Office. Please save the date if you are interested in volunteering! Contact Laurie DeAngelis or Katelyn Gomez with any questions.

Shorts Policy: New this year, students may wear uniform shorts through October 31. Shorts may not be worn from November 1 through March 31. Uniform shorts may be worn again starting on April 1. Please contact the School Office with any questions.
