To culminate their unit on The Egypt Game novel by Zilpha Keatly Snyder, our 6th Graders recently collaborated in small groups to create a unique board game integrating everything that they have learned about Egypt and the novel. They were so creative and had a lot of fun working together!

COVID Update: We currently have one student at home in isolation due to testing positive for COVID-19. Additionally, we have two students in quarantine due to being considered close contacts outside of St. Charles. Please remember to continue monitoring your child's health daily and keep your kids home if they are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or are not feeling well. We are grateful for all of your prayers and support for our students, staff, and school community!

Dress Down Day: Monday, February 14 is a dress down day! Students are welcome to wear red, white, and/or pink in honor of Valentine's Day. 

Valentine's Day Classroom Parties: Students will celebrate Valentine's Day in their classrooms on Monday, February 14! Check your Inbox for more information from your teacher(s).

MAP Progress Reports: Winter MAP Progress Reports are coming home today! Look for your child's report in their backpack. Please read a letter from Mr. Garvey for more information about MAP Testing. 

Reading Incentive Program: We are partnering with Lake Country Dockhounds to participate in Louie's Literacy Lineup. All students will have an opportunity to earn a free ticket to a Dockhounds home game. Look for information coming home with your child and visit their website to learn more about Lake Country Dockhounds. 

Register Now!: Just a few days remaining to register for the Auction! Ticket sales to attend in person end on Sunday, February 13. If you are unable to join us in person, be sure to register for your $0 Virtual Ticket to be able to remotely bid on silent auction packages and sign up for Buy-In Parties!

Dress Down Pass Winner: Congratulations to Sarah Loose for being our dress down pass winner for turning in Grand Raffle tickets by last Friday!

Live Auction: Get ready to raise your paddle during our exciting Live Auction, taking place during the Dinner & Auction on Saturday, February 26! Auctioneer Jenny Gehl will return this year to lead us through some annual favorites plus some unique additions. Our Live Auction Packages include:

Volunteer Opportunities: We are in need of help in our lunch room and health room! Please visit the Lunch Room sign-up page and the Health Room sign-up page to check out open opportunities. Parents must be safeguarded and have a current background check (from within the last five years) in order to volunteer. Please contact the School Office if you are unsure of your status. 

Uniform Upcycle Collection: The St. Charles uniform sale is back! We are enthusiastically accepting donations of gently-used (no holes or tears please) uniform items. Bins will be available outside the School Office for you or your child to drop items off throughout the semester. We hope to build up some inventory and have sales before next school year. We hope you'll consider giving these clothes a "second life!" 

Mullett Ice Center Events: The Mullett Ice Center is offering skate classes and public skating! Visit their flier for more information.
