Dear Parents,

The CDC has recently made changes to the isolation guidelines for individuals that test positive for COVID-19 by reducing the isolation period from 10 days to 5 days. Waukesha County has endorsed these new guidelines, and effective immediately, St. Charles Parish and School will be implementing these updates. Please read below:

Symptomatic individuals
  • Those with symptoms should isolate at home for five days (from the onset of symptoms) and can return on day 6 if their symptoms are improving and are fever-free for 24 hours (without fever-reducing medicine)

  • Must wear a mask for the next 5 days

  • Those unable or unwilling to wear a mask while at school are required to isolate at home through day 10 and may return on day 11

Asymptomatic individuals:

  • Those who have no symptoms should isolate at home for five days (from date of positive test) and can return on day 6

  • If symptoms develop, start 5-day isolation anew

  • Must be fever-free for 24 hours to return to school

  • Must wear a mask for the next 5 days

  • Those unable or unwilling to wear a mask while at school are required to isolate at home through day 10 and may return on day 11
