MISSION STATEMENT: St. Charles Parish School in Hartland, Wisconsin nourishes and grows a vibrant Catholic community committed to innovation, responsiveness and compassion as it prepares and challenges students in their intellectual, spiritual and moral lives.

COVID-19 UPDATE
We continue to be blessed and are happy to report that we do not have any students or staff who have tested positive for COVID-19. Currently, we have one staff member and eight students quarantining at home due to being considered a close contact after exposure to a positive case outside of St. Charles.

Thank you for keeping your children home when they are not feeling well, even for the little things, and for erring on the side of caution when it comes to potential exposure. It is also important to keep your children home if you or anyone in your household is not feeling well and/or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. We appreciate everyone's efforts in helping keep all staff and students safe. Please continue to keep St. Charles Parish School in your prayers!

Additionally, as we mentioned in an email yesterday, the Waukesha County Health Department has released some new information to reduce the length of quarantine for close contacts of a positive COVID-19 case to align with the CDC and the Wisconsin Health Department=E2=80=99s new guidelines. St. Charles Parish School will continue to operate under the guidelines that have been implemented so far this school year through the end of December. St. Charles=E2=80=99 leadership will be meeting to evaluate these new guidelines in an effort to keep our students and staff safe moving forward. We will notify you of any updates when they become available.

We have been successful, healthy, and safe due to the protocols and procedures we currently have in place and because of the enormous sacrifices of our teachers, families, and school community to keep all students and staff safe! We are extremely grateful for all that you have done and will continue to do to keep in-person instruction going at St. Charles. #WECHOOSECHRIST
WHAT'S NEW?
Report Cards: Report cards will be going home with students in 1st-8th Grade tomorrow!

Advent Parties: Classrooms will be hosting their Advent parties on Wednesday, December 23. Please watch for communication from your child's teacher.

Virtual Advent Concert: We have been quietly preparing a Virtual Advent Concert in lieu of our traditional Advent Concert. Students in grades 3K-5th and a small middle school group will record some Christmas songs on Monday, December 14. These students are allowed to dress up (no jeans) as they would for the actual concert. We are excited to put this together as we find new ways to carry on our special traditions. We will share the videos with you prior to Christmas break.

Thank You, Mrs. Cavanaugh: Please help us thank Betty Cavanaugh (mother of Joe and Virginia, 6th Graders) for all of her service to St. Charles! She has been volunteering as a lunch recess supervisor for the past couple of years. We are eternally grateful for all of your help and time you have given to the students and school community of St. Charles. Thank you!
Lunch Crew: We would like to take this opportunity to introduce Jenny Oliaro, our newest lunch recess supervisor (photo below). Jenny started with us a few days before Thanksgiving and is quickly settling into her new role. She is a parishioner, Eucharistic minister, and a member of the Outreach Services team at St. Charles and is excited to serve her parish community in another capacity. Also, we would like to extend a much-deserved thank you to our lunch staff for all their hard work and extra precautions they are taking to keep our kiddos safe!
  • Joyce Lucht (Ms. Joyce) =E2=80=94 Lunchroom Coordinator
  • John Kosak (Mr. John) =E2=80=94 Recess Supervisor
Math Club: Congratulations to the St. Charles Math Club for achieving Silver Level Status in the National Math Club! Participants will receive certificates for their participation. The Math Club will be eligible to apply for Gold Level Status after the participants complete the Gold Level Project. Math Club members have started brainstorming ideas for this project. It will be a math-based service project and/or a math scavenger hunt. They look forward to beginning this collaborative project in January. Our Math Club is open to middle school students and is led by Mrs. Mullen.
