THE WEEKLY RUNDOWN
December 19, 2019

MISSION STATEMENT: St. Charles Parish School in Hartland, Wisconsin nourishes and grows a vibrant Catholic community committed to innovation, responsiveness and compassion as it prepares and challenges students in their intellectual, spiritual and moral lives.

Parents and Students,

Thank you to all of the parents and families who joined us last week to celebrate our children and the Advent Season. It was an amazing night of music and fun! A big shout-out to Mrs. Brister and Mrs. Fellows for all their work with our students and for creating a wonderful evening for us to enjoy. It was wonderful to see our students actively engaged with music, having fun with the songs, and learning to play different instruments. Our teachers deserve many thanks for their flexibility with the scheduling of rehearsals and assistance during the concert. This took a tremendous amount of teamwork, and I am incredibly proud of our team! Thank you to Mr. Gregg Brunclik and his Clearwing Productions crew (Mitch and Jon) for all their help. Your team is top notch and are great to work with! Another thank you goes out to Mrs. Christina Holmes for coordinating and arranging all the work with Gregg and his team to come in and set up. I greatly appreciate your help! Nothing beats coming together as a school community and witnessing our Lord's work through wonderful children.

We practiced our lockdown drill on Wednesday, and everything went very well. Hartland Police Department was on site and had glowing remarks for how well our students and staff did during the drill. At this time, they do not have any recommendations for us. We will continue to practice and assess our safety procedures so that we can make necessary improvements to ensure the safety of all students and staff. Thank you, parents, for talking with your children about these types of drills and why they are important to practice.

Following His plan,
Mr. Garvey
