The Weekly Rundown

MISSION STATEMENT: St. Charles Parish School in Hartland, Wisconsin nourishes and grows a vibrant Catholic community committed to innovation, responsiveness and compassion as it prepares and challenges students in their intellectual, spiritual and moral lives.

Parents and Students,

I know our students and staff thoroughly enjoyed a couple extra days at home but we missed out on most of our Catholic Schools Week.  As I mentioned last week, we are working to reschedule all of our missed Dress Down Days, service projects, and activities.

Here is what we have so far...

  • Jeans and Spirit Wear Dress Down Day-- Monday, Feb. 11th

  • Red/White/Blue Dress Down Day -- Monday, Feb. 18th

  • Knights of Columbus Knowledge Contest -- Monday, Feb. 18th

  • Western Wear Day -- Friday, Feb. 22nd

  • Dance-a-Thon -- Friday, Feb. 22nd (1:45 pm to 3 pm): Please continue collecting donations for the Dance-a-Thon. This later date gives our kids more time to ask friends and family to sponsor them. All envelopes returned to the School Office by Wednesday, Feb. 20 will receive two raffle tickets and envelopes returned by Thursday, Feb. 21 will receive one raffle ticket for the movie basket. The winning ticket will be pulled at the Dance-a-Thon.

Staff breakfast:  Many thanks to Africa Carroll, Kristen Jessup and the entire hospitality team for the wonderful breakfast they provided staff last week as we kicked off Catholic Schools Week. We sincerely appreciate all the time you put into making all of the food, taking the time to drop it off and making sure the event still took place despite the snow and cold days. Thank you for the amazing spread ... you truly know the key to a teacher=E2=80=99s heart!

Snow/Cold days:  As of right now, we DO NOT need to make up any of our snow/cold days. I have been in close communication with the Archdiocese of Milwaukee to ensure we are in compliance. If we happen to incur any further unexpected days off, I will be sure to communicate our course of action.

Rosary Prayer group:  Our prayer group was not able to get together in January due to the weather, but we are rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 20th from 8:30 am to 9 am in the Life Teen Cafe. Please join us! Also if you are interested in hosting a traveling rosary shrine in your home for one week there are still spots available between now and the end of the school year. This is a wonderful way to pray the rosary daily with your family. Sign up HERE.

Following His plan,
Mr. Garvey
