MISSION STATEMENT: St. Charles Parish School in Hartland, Wisconsin nourishes and grows a vibrant Catholic community committed to innovation, responsiveness and compassion as it prepares and challenges students in their intellectual, spiritual and moral lives.

Students and staff had a wonderful time celebrating Catholic Schools Week last week!
With events ranging from praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet together to creating a Chain of Gratitude to a field hockey tournament amongst the grade levels, scholars participated in fun activities everyday. The week culminated in an all-school Mass at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist before middle-school students went bowling at Sussex Bowl and our youngest scholars had a movie afternoon at school.
NEWS & NOTES
Standardized Testing Updates: Winter MAP Testing results will be coming home today for students in 5K-8th Grade. These reports are used to help teachers and students set specific learning goals, track achievement, and monitor academic growth. Students will take the math and reading tests again in Spring to measure their academic growth from the school year. You can learn more about MAP Testing from the Parent Toolkit. Please contact your child's teacher with any questions you may have. Also, please note that due to a change in requirements by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, we will no longer administer the Iowa Test of Basic Skills.

Basketball Tournament Winners: The 8th Grade boys basketball team competed in the St. Mary Menomonee Falls Invitational this past week and won a thrilling game over our league rival Indian Community School to take the championship! We are extremely proud of the way our boys played and represented our school, coming back from an eight-point deficit in the semi-finals to win that game in overtime and keeping their composure through a very challenging back-and-forth championship game.
Father-Daughter Dance: The Father-Daughter Dance was a huge hit this past weekend! Attendees loved the "An Evening in Emerald City" theme, and their energy filled our Borromeo Hall. A huge thank you to Kristen Jessup, Sarah Trapp, and Abbey Grossman for their help in coordinating the event!
