MISSION STATEMENT: St. Charles Parish School in Hartland, Wisconsin nourishes and grows a vibrant Catholic community committed to innovation, responsiveness and compassion as it prepares and challenges students in their intellectual, spiritual and moral lives.

Parents and Students,

Thank you to all of our parents and families for attending our Parent-Teacher Conferences last week. It is extremely uplifting and powerful to see the partnerships that we are so blessed to have here at St. Charles.

  • A special shout out to Africa Carroll and Kristen Jessup, and the entire School Hospitality Committee for providing an AMAZING spread of food for our teachers both Thursday and Friday.

  • A special shout out to Jeff Walloch for his work in creating our conference sign up! Thank you for making this task so simple and organized.

Jeans are fine (No uniform bottoms are required and please yoga pants and leggings under skirts and dresses only). Please donate a food item to participate in this dress down. Food items will be donated to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.

New Basketball Nets: A big thank you to the Krueger Family for donating two new basketball nets for the hoops out on the playground and thank you to the Merkel Family for installing them! Your generosity and teamwork is sincerely appreciated. Thank you for living out our school theme - TEAMWORK!

Rosary Group: Just a reminder that we will begin a parent Rosary Group that will get together on Wednesdays from 8:30 am  -8:50 am to pray for the students, staff, parents, and community of St. Charles. Our first Rosary gathering will be Wednesday, Nov. 28th after we return from Thanksgiving Vacation. Headed by school parent Louise Morris, the rosary gathering is open to all parents/guardians and we welcome you to join us in prayer. No experience necessary! Whether you are experienced in prayer, know the rosary, but it has been a whilef or you have never prayed the rosary before ... ALL are welcome to come together. Prayer sheets and rosaries will be provided. More information to come with a specific start date, schedule, and location.

Following His plan,
Mr. Garvey

A Note from Guidance Counselor Mrs. Delmore

Dear Families,

I wanted to let you know that there are a lot of great speakers coming to our area that will be presenting on topics such as parenting, mental health and wellness and issues in education. I have updated my website with the upcoming dates. If you attended the screening of =E2=80=9CScreenagers: Growing up in the Digital Age=E2=80=9D last winter, you might be interested in hearing the filmmaker, Dr. Delaney Ruston, speak about the film. She will be at the University School of Milwaukee on November 27.

I also wanted to share a couple of new resources: https://www.mentalhealthconnection.life/ is a new initiative from Waukesha County Health and Human Services and NAMI Waukesha to provide a central location for education, resources and referrals for mental health education,  treatment and support groups in Waukesha County.

The Center for Parent & Teen Communication, out of the Children=E2=80=99s Hospital of Philadelphia, has recently launched a new website www.parentandteen.com. This site has lots of great information and videos for parents about how to support healthy communication with their teens. One of the co-founders of the Center is Dr. Kenneth Ginsburg who has written many books on various parenting topics. I think Dr. Ginsburg=E2=80=99s latest book, =E2=80=9CBuilding Resilience in Children and Teens, Giving Kids Roots and Wings=E2=80=9D could be a great topic of a parent book study, if people are interested.

Blessings,
Mrs. Delmore
