MISSION STATEMENT: St. Charles Parish School in Hartland, Wisconsin nourishes and grows a vibrant Catholic community committed to innovation, responsiveness and compassion as it prepares and challenges students in their intellectual, spiritual and moral lives.

Field Day was a huge success!
Thank you to all of the parent volunteers who helped make the day fun, safe, and delicious. Also, thank you so much to our 8th Graders for donating the Kona Ice Truck! Our students loved the special treat.
NEWS & NOTES
Help Us Welcome New Staff: We are excited to announce new staff members for the 2025-2026 school year! Please welcome Mrs. Emily Briggs, Mrs. Audra Malloy, Mr. Stephen Soens, and Mr. Ryan Dockstader.
  • Mrs. Briggs is currently working at St. Sebastian School in Wauwatosa as an interventionist and will be joining us as a 5K Teacher.
  • Mrs. Malloy has over twenty years of teaching experience in 3rd Grade and has spent most of her career at St. Jude School in Wauwatosa. She will be one of our 3rd Grade teachers.
  • Mr. Soens has been teaching in the Waukesha School District for over twenty-five years and is looking forward to sharing his faith as a 5th Grade teacher at St. Charles.
  • Mr. Dockstader is currently teaching 1st Grade at a Catholic school in Racine and is looking forward to bringing his faith and love of literacy as a 4th Grade teacher at St. Charles.
Middle-Schoolers Growing in Faith: St. Charles middle-school students celebrated their Catholic faith with two wonderful experiences this Spring. Through a grant from the Archdiocesan Grant Initiatives for Today's Students (GIFTS), students participated in the Wisconsin Catholic Youth Rally (WCYR) at Carroll University. Students worshipped, heard testimonials, and prayed through Adoration with other young Catholics from around Wisconsin. Through the generosity of a grant from the Knights of Columbus, students also made a pilgrimage to Our Lady of Champion in New Franken to pray, worship, and honor the only approved Marian apparition site in America. Their trips to the Wisconsin Catholic Youth Rally and Our Lady of Champion were documented in student-created video montages. We humbly ask for your continued prayers as our students cultivate a personal relationship with the Lord.

Sunday Funday: We are excited to announce that Sunday Funday is returning this summer! Come enjoy family time after Mass and mingle with other parishioners on Sunday, June 1 after the 9 a.m. Mass on the playground in our west lot. The Discipleship Team will provide yogurt and granola while everyone is encouraged to bring your own beverage.

Congratulations, Piano Students: Our piano students, taught by Kathleen Latzke-Daley, recently performed in their Spring Recital in the Borromeo Hall. Twenty-seven students performed a variety of piano selections and received many awards, celebrating with a social afterwards. Seventeen of these students went to the State Federation Festival in mid-May with five receiving Honorable Mention Ribbon Awards and one being selected as the winner of their piano solo event. Congratulations to Isabelle S., Mary R., Adeline S., Elizabeth H., and Nora M.!
REMINDERS
Read-A-Thon: We are excited for our school-wide Read-a-thon tomorrow, May 30! We are looking for parent volunteers to help during the storytimes as helpers or guest readers. Storytimes will be in fifteen-minute increments with multiple stories being shared at the same time. If you are interested, please visit our sign-up page and select the time you are available. Please also include the title of the book you want to share so we can avoid duplicate titles. This is a great way to provide fun reading opportunities the entire day and get scholars excited to read throughout the summer!

Employment Opportunities: We have two new employment opportunities beginning with the 2025-2026 school year: an ELA Middle School Teacher and Part-Time Band Teacher. If you or someone you know is passionate about education and feels called to share your talents with our faith-filled community, we encourage you to visit the Archdiocese of Milwaukee's website to review the qualifications and begin the application process.

Athletics Registration: Registration for athletics for the 2025-2026 school year is open! Volleyball, basketball, and track are open to all students in 4th-8th Grade. Cheerleading is open to all students in 3rd-8th Grade. Please visit our Athletics website for more information and to register. If you are interested in coaching, please register on our Athletics website, as well.

Buddy Families Needed: St. Charles continues to grow, and we are in need of Buddy Families to welcome our incoming students! If you volunteer to be a Buddy Family, you will be matched with a new family to welcome them to our community. Please contact our Buddy Family Team with questions and/or to volunteer.

Free School Supplies for Life: 1st Day School Supplies is offering a "Free School Supplies for Life" sweepstakes! All families who purchase their school supply kits by May 31st will be entered.
