The Weekly Rundown
MISSION STATEMENT: St. Charles Parish School in Hartland, Wisconsin nourishes and grows a vibrant Catholic community committed to innovation, responsiveness and compassion as it prepares and challenges students in their intellectual, spiritual and moral lives.
Parents and Students,
Thank you to all the parents who helped out, organized, chaperoned, and played a part in our Halloween parade and classroom parties! I=E2=80=99m not sure about the students, but the Sheriff sure had a blast!

We have a lot going on and coming up so please make sure to read through everything. Thanks!
All School Mass Thursday, Nov. 1: Join us on Thursday, Nov.1 to celebrate Mass for All Saints Day beginning at 8:30 am. All students from 3K through 8th Grade will attend Mass. There will be a special presentation following Mass involving our saintly 2nd Grade Class. Please join us and pray.
8th Grade Volleyball: Congratulations to our 8th Grade volleyball teams. We are so proud of your accomplishments this season. Thank you for working together as a team and representing St. Charles.
General Election Voting Day On Tuesday, Nov. 6: St. Charles is a designated voting site for Hartland on Tuesday, November 6th and all voters in the Village of Hartland will cast their ballots at St. Charles. The school will have an alternate drop-off and pick-up procedure for this day only to avoid the extra traffic from voters coming into the parking lot in the morning and in the afternoon. Our most important priority is ensuring the safety of our students. Similar to drop-off and pick-up procedures for Fall Fest procedure, we will use the west entrance off of Renson Road for morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. Without the Fall Fest tents set up, we will be able to create a larger loop of cars so that more vehicles can fit in the =E2=80=9Cqueue." Staff will direct traffic and help students. Please be patient during drop-off and pick-up. Thank you for your understanding, patience and help ... Teamwork!
Special Schedule On Tuesday, Nov. 6: With voters on the campus voting, St. Charles is taking all precautions to keep our students safe. Parish and school staff members will stand near the locked doors in the hallway between the parish and school (near the bathrooms) at all times throughout the day when our students are in school. The doors will remain closed and locked all day.
All students need to bring a cold lunch on this day as we will not offer hot lunch. Students in 3K and 4K will eat in their classrooms in order for them to be kept within the locked doors.
Special Treat For Students In 5K Through 8th Grade: These students will attend Mass at The Church of Gesu near Marquette University in Milwaukee followed by a Marquette University Women's Basketball Game. This works out perfectly with voting day at St. Charles. Students and staff will depart about 9 am and return between 2 and 2:30 pm. Students will need to pack a cold lunch for the field trip. Parents please click here to print a copy of the permission. We apologize for the late notice but print the permission slip and send it to school right away. The deadline is Monday, Nov. 5. Every student must have a signed permission slip before going on the field trip.
Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences: Sign-ups for individual meetings with your child's teacher begins Friday, Nov. 2nd. Please watch for a separate email with instructions on how to sign up. Conferences run on Thursday, Nov. 8th from 11 am to 7:30 pm and Friday, Nov. 9th from 7:30 am to 12 pm. Conferences for students in 3K through 5th Grade will be 15-minute sessions. Conferences for students in 6th through 8th will last 10 minutes each. Conferences with specialists (music, Spanish, technology, art and PE) also last about 10 minutes.
Science Olympiad (5th-7th grades): On Friday, Oct.19th a few students from Marquette High School gave our 5th-7th grade students a presentation on Science Olympiad. Students are invited to join this club to dive deeper into various science and STEM topics. Some boys from MUHS will help and teach our students as they are currently members of their high school Science Olympiad Team. Through this work, students will increase their knowledge/skills and will compete in different tournaments. Students were provided a handout and sign up sheet if they are interested. If you need another copy please call the School Office. Please sign-up if you=E2=80=99re interested! We need at least ten students and have to cap the team at 15 students.
Quarter Ends For 6th-8th Grade Only: First quarter is coming to an end and teachers are working to finalize assignments, assessments, and grades. Report cards will be available at Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences on Nov. 8th and 9th. NEW THIS YEAR: Teachers will present parents with report cards during conferences and parents will sign the envelope.
Following His plan,
Mr. Garvey
