MISSION STATEMENT: St. Charles Parish School in Hartland, Wisconsin nourishes and grows a vibrant Catholic community committed to innovation, responsiveness and compassion as it prepares and challenges students in their intellectual, spiritual and moral lives.

Students participated in a fun spirit group activity leading up to the Book Fair!
Teams were composed of scholars in 1st-8th Grade, and they worked together to create "egg landers" that could travel safely without breaking their "eggstronauts." Students also wrote stories about their "eggstronauts" to coincide with the project. Scholars loved this exciting collaborative opportunity =E2=80=94 and watching which projects were successful!
NEWS & NOTES
Help Share Your Memories: It is with a heavy heart that we share that Debra Acker, our former librarian, was moved into hospice care in Omaha this week after another courageous battle with cancer. This past Sunday, their parish priest came to the house and offered Mrs. Acker final blessings. She is resting comfortably and surrounded by her family. Debra=E2=80=99s many years of service and interactions with our students and school community created an enduring impact on so many of our families as well as all those who were fortunate to work alongside her. In honor of this, we will be putting together a scrapbook of messages for Debra and her family. If you would like to submit a note or picture to share a favorite memory of Mrs. Acker, please submit it to the School Office by Wednesday, November 13. Please keep notes and pictures to 8 =C2=BD=E2=80=9D x 11=E2=80=9D in size and be sure to include your name. This can be done as a family or individually. This is a wonderful way to share Debra=E2=80=99s legacy with her and her family. Your prayers for peace in these final days are greatly appreciated.

School Mass Schedule: We have had some changes to our school's Mass schedule. Please save a copy of the new schedule for future reference.

Bag Toss Showdown: Our Home & School Association is postponing the Bag Toss Showdown. Stay tuned for a new date and time in the future!

Assisted Listening TrainingYour Mass experience is important to us! Tuesday, November 12 is the first Audio Technology Training for assisted listening guidance in the Borromeo Hall after Daily Mass and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Devotions (tentatively 10 a.m.). The second training will be held Sunday, November 17 at 10:15 a.m. in the Borromeo Hall after 9 a.m. Mass. Please visit our website for more information. All are welcome to attend either training. We hope to see you there!
REMINDERS
SCRIP Contest: Our Home & School Association is hosting a SCRIP contest throughout the month of November! The class that earns the highest SCRIP rebate total for the month will win a free dress down day. Rebates will be split for orders placed by families that have multiple students. Orders placed in person, online, or through the Raise Right app will all count. Thank you for supporting our parish and school!

Jingle Shop: Our Jingle Shop will be returning on Wednesday, December 4! The Jingle Shop is a favorite fundraiser of the students that allows them to purchase gifts for their family at Christmas. We will be collecting small, new items for the kids to choose from. We are also in need of gift wrapping materials (wrapping paper, gift bags, tissue paper, ribbons, and tape) as well as plastic bags (Sendik's, Piggly Wiggly, etc.). Cash donations will be accepted in the School Office for the purchase of items for the Jingle Shop. Are you interested in volunteering at the Shop? Please visit our volunteer page for open opportunities and/or our website for more information.
