MISSION STATEMENT: St. Charles Parish School in Hartland, Wisconsin nourishes and grows a vibrant Catholic community committed to innovation, responsiveness and compassion as it prepares and challenges students in their intellectual, spiritual and moral lives.

We are looking forward to kicking off the 2024-2025 school year at Meet & Greet on Monday, August 26! Stop by anytime between 12-6 p.m. to drop off school supplies, meet your teachers, and take yearbook photos. Bring your back-to-school forms with you if you don't turn them in sooner!

Parents, you are invited to our Parent Coffee Social on the first day of school, August 27! Stop by the Parish Hall after drop-off to meet other parents and enjoy some coffee, provided by our Home & School Association. 
NEWS & NOTES
Staffing Update: We have two new hires to announce! We are still looking to hire a Lunchroom Assistant, as well, so please spread the word. If you know of anyone who may be interested, please direct them to the School Office at 262-367-2040 or by email
  • Please welcome Mrs. Jenny Fryer, our new Art teacher! Mrs. Fryer has spent the last two years teaching art at St. Dominic=E2=80=99s. She lives in Brookfield with her husband and two children.

  • Ms. Mary Beauchamp will also be joining the team as a Teaching Assistant! Ms. Beauchamp graduated from Benedictine College and has experience working as a preschool teacher.

Drop-off/Pick-up Procedures: Be sure to review and save the parking lot map prior to the first day of school! New families, please read the drop-off/pick-up procedures on our website to familiarize yourself with our protocols. As a reminder, students must enter the building through the school's entrance doors, not through the parish. Contact the School Office with any questions at 262-367-0800 or by email. We appreciate your help in keeping students and staff safe!

School Mass Times: Due to Arrowhead's new schedule this year and several of our 8th Graders taking freshman-level Geometry there at the start of the day, our middle-school Masses on Thursdays and all-school Masses will start at 9 a.m. instead of 8:30 a.m starting after Labor Day. Tuesday Masses for our younger scholars will continue to be at 8:30 a.m. Keep an eye on our parish website for the schedule and/or save the school's Mass calendar for future reference. 

Class Rosters: Class rosters will be sent out tomorrow afternoon by email. Please keep an eye on your Inbox to find out which homeroom your child(ren) will be in. You will also find a link in the email to sign up to be a Room Parent. 

Band Registration: Band registration for the 2024-2025 school year is now open for students in 4th-8th Grade! Please visit our website for a message from Andrew Szymanek, our new Band Director, as well as registration information. The deadline to sign up is Friday, August 30.

Volunteer At School: Parents are welcome to volunteer during the lunch hour and in our Health Room! Volunteers must complete Safe Environment Training before signing up. Please visit our Lunch Room and Health Room sign-up pages to volunteer during the school day. 

Hot Lunch & Milk Program: If you would like your child to participate in the hot lunch program and/or to receive milk during snack time this year, you will need to register for an account with Kettle Moraine. Please visit their website and select Parochial Schools for more information. 

Reporting Absences & Schedule Changes: If your child will be absent, arriving late, or leaving early, please contact the School Office at 262-367-2040 or by email (school@stcharleshartland.org) by 8 a.m. If your child is arriving late and would like a hot lunch, please include that information in your message, as well. 

Girl Scouts: Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. At St. Charles, we currently have Troops for 2nd-5th Grade. We are looking for Troop Co-Leaders and other volunteer positions to start a 5K and 1st Grade Daisy Troop. If you are interested in having your daughter join Girl Scouts, fill out the interest form (new scouts only). Please contact Kim Halvorson, St. Charles Troop Organizer, if you have any questions.

Women of Christ Conference: Registration is now open for the 15th Annual Women of Christ Conference on Saturday, November 16 at the Brookfield Conference Center! Please visit their website for more information about this event and to sign up. 
REMINDERS
Back-to-School Forms: Back-to-school forms are available online! Please visit our website for more information and to print off the forms. Paperwork is due by Monday, August 26 at Meet & Greet. Every student's forms must be submitted prior to the start of the school year, and all forms need to be completed annually. 

Medication Forms
: If your child will have medication at school such as an epi pen, inhaler, or ibuprofen, please be sure to complete our Authorization to Administer Medication Forms and provide the School Office with the medication(s) your child will need. These forms must be on file for a student to receive/use medication. Contact the School Office at 262-367-2040 or via email with any questions. 

School Supply List: Don't forget to check the school supply list and make sure your child has everything they need to be successful this year!

Children's Choir Camp: All students in 3rd-8th Grade are invited to join us for our annual Choir Camp! It will take place on Monday, August 26 from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Camp will begin with registration in the church corridor, and students will play warm-up games as well as learn proper singing technique, microphone usage, and the music for our upcoming school Mass. The morning will end with ice cream in the corridor of the church, and students can then proceed to Meet & Greet. Please contact Peg Kasun for more information. 

Fall Fest Bags Tournament: We are currently looking for more teams to register for this year=E2=80=99s bags tournament on Saturday, September 7 at Fall Fest! It=E2=80=99s a great way to meet new people and have some fun in a competitive tournament for cash prizes. Please see our Fall Fest website to register.

Volunteer at Fall Fest: We're looking forward to Fall Fest from September 6-8! As part of your annual commitment to the school, please consider signing up to help by visiting our Fall Fest volunteer page. Fall Fest would not be possible without volunteers. We appreciate your help and are looking forward to a fun-filled weekend!
