Our 6th Graders were blessed with perfect weather at their retreat last week at Schoenstatt!
They enjoyed reflecting, praying, and having fun together. Fr. Ariel joined our scholars and had a very special Mass for them!

NEWS & NOTES
Library Books Due: Library books are due tomorrow, May 17. Please have your child return any books they have at home.
Band & String Orchestra Concert: The Spring Band & String Orchestra Concert will be on Monday, May 20 at 6 p.m. in the Church. All are welcome to attend!
Milk Billing: Milk bills for December 1-May 24 will be coming home on or after May 24 and are due by May 31. Milk sales from May 28 through the end of the school year will be cash or check only. Please contact the School Office with any questions.
Alumnae News: Congratulations to Kate Krueger, St. Charles Class of 2020, on being named Valedictorian at DSHA High School! We are so proud of Kate and all of her achievements throughout high school, including her leadership roles in Campus Ministry and the Athletic Advisory Council, in her community service work, and on the Varsity Golf Team as a two-time Captain. She is looking forward to her next chapter at Notre Dame in Fall, where she will study Finance.
Lunch with Mr. Garvey: Congratulations to the Speth family for winning Lunch with the Principal at this year's Gala! Adeline and Eleanor enjoyed their lunch from Culver's and invited friends to join them!

Open HSA Positions: We have two open positions for our Home & School Association next year! If you are interested in being President Elect in the Fall (and President for the 2025-2026 school year) or our Sign Up Genius Coordinator, please contact Sarah Trapp, HSA President.
Dockhounds Game: The Home & School Association's Mother-Son Dockhounds Game will be on Wednesday, May 29 at 6:30 p.m. Join us for on-field fun before and during the game! Tickets can be purchased online.

REMINDERS
Field Day: Can we use your grill at our annual Field Day on Wednesday, May 22? We'd appreciate it! Please visit our sign-up page to volunteer for loaning us your grill.
Seussical Jr. Performances: Join us for performances of Seussical Jr. on Saturday, May 18 at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. as well as on Sunday, May 19 at 3 p.m. Tickets are available online, and seats will also be available at the door.
Be a Buddy: We are still in need of Buddy Families for our new Crusaders! When you volunteer to be a Buddy Family, you are matched with a new family to help them feel welcomed into our community. This includes a welcome email, answering any questions about St. Charles to the best of your ability, optional meet-ups before the school year begins, and our annual Popsicles in the Park event in August. Please contact our Buddy Family Coordinator via email if you are interested in this fun role!
Golf Outing: Registration for the 23rd Annual Golf Outing is open! Please visit our website to sign up and/or to become a sponsor by Friday, May 24. Proceeds benefit our Athletic Association. Join us on the green on Monday, June 3!
Piano Lessons: Kathleen Latzke-Daley will be offering piano lessons at St. Charles for the 2024-2025 school year! Lessons are available to students in 2nd-8th Grade (1st Grade with special exception). Piano lessons are thirty minutes long and are offered weekly during the school day, including during recess or FIT. Schedules are coordinated with homeroom teachers. Help Life's Connection: Life's Connection in Waukesha is in need of newly-expecting moms who are willing to get ultrasounds to help train their new sonographers! If you are sixteen weeks pregnant or under, please reach out to Life's Connection at 262-290-5433. They are offering 20-30 minute time slots on Tuesday, May 21 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and on Friday, May 24 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
