MISSION STATEMENT: St. Charles Parish School in Hartland, Wisconsin nourishes and grows a vibrant Catholic community committed to innovation, responsiveness and compassion as it prepares and challenges students in their intellectual, spiritual and moral lives.

Six middle-school students competed in the MATHCOUNTS Regional Competition at UW-Milwaukee on Saturday!
Congratulations to 6th Graders Matteo and Sam, 7th Grader Ben, and 8th Graders Antonio, Calleigh, and Isabella! They did a wonderful job, and we are proud of them for their accomplishments and achievements in mathematics. Isabella will advance to the State Competition on Saturday, March 4. We wish her well as she prepares for the next level of competition!
NEWS & NOTES
St. Charles at the Cathedral: Students in 5K-8th Grade traveled to the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist last Friday to culminate our celebration of Catholic Schools Week! Bishop Haines was impressed with how well the students prayed, sang, and paid attention to his tour of the Cathedral after Mass. Youth Choir and Schola led the beautiful music, and our 8th Grade leaders did a wonderful job reading the Scriptures, proclaiming the psalm, and leading the intercessory prayer. The 8th Graders got a special tour of the crypt where all of the bishops are laid to rest, conducted by Bishop Haines himself!

MAP Progress Reports: Winter MAP Progress Reports are coming home today! Look for the report in your child's backpack. Please read a letter from Mr. Garvey for more information about MAP Testing!

Dress Down Day: Students and staff are invited to dress down on Tuesday, February 14 in honor of Valentine's Day! Students can wear red, pink, and/or white clothing.

Catholic Social Teaching Theme: Our Catholic social teaching theme for the month of February is Option for the Poor and Vulnerable. We ask for the intercession of Saint Teresa of Calcutta that we might never fail to recognize and encounter Jesus in what she called his "most distressing disguise of the poorest of the poor." Amen

Schola Singers at Lake Country Playhouse: Four of our Schola members recently performed in a concert at Lake Country Playhouse. Catherine, Avery, Paige, and Calleigh did a wonderful job on their solos!
Congratulations to our 5th Grade boys basketball team for winning 1st Place in St. John Vianney's Shamrock Classic over the weekend!
