NEWS & NOTES
Catholic Schools Week: We are finalizing plans to celebrate Catholic Schools Week from January 30 through February 3! Please visit our website to find out what is going on at St. Charles throughout that week. Classroom teachers will also share more specific details in their weekly newsletters.

James & the Giant Peach Auditions: We are excited to announce this year's musical is James and the Giant Peach! Students in 3rd-8th Grade are welcome to audition on Monday, January 30 or Tuesday, January 31 from 3:30-5 p.m. Please visit our website for more information and to sign up for auditions.

Seminarian Goody Bags: We will be creating little care packages for Seminarians in the Archdiocese during Catholic Schools Week and are asking grade levels to donate a specific item and bring them by Tuesday, January 31. Below are the items we are in need of:
  • 3K, 4K, and 5K - Chapstick
  • 1st & 2nd Grade - travel-size hand lotion or hand sanitizer
  • 3rd & 4th Grade - box of granola bar-type snacks (5 or 6 pack)
  • 5th Grade - fun-size bag of candy bars
  • 6th & 7th Grade - packs of mints
  • 8th Grade - packs of gum
FROM THE HOME & SCHOOL ASSOCIATION
Dress Down Passes: The Home & School Association is selling dress down passes through Friday, January 27! Each student can purchase two packs of five dress down passes ($10/pack). Please print and return the order form to the School Office. The fee will be applied to your TADS account; please do not send cash/checks. 

Culver's Night Out: Our next Culver's Night Out is on Monday, February 6! Are you interested in volunteering that night or on a different date? Please visit our sign-up page to check out upcoming opportunities! 
REMINDERS
Re-enrollment for 2023-2024: We are continuing to work with FACTS, our new tuition management system, as we prepare for a smooth transition for next year's enrollment process. We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding and will announce a date as soon as we are ready. Stay tuned! Please note that we will use TADS through the end of this school year, so be sure to keep an eye on your account.
VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
Lunch Recess Supervision: Thank you to all of the teachers who have helped supervise lunch recesses as we continue to search for an additional Lunch Recess Supervisor! A great way to support our staff and school is to volunteer to help supervise lunch recesses from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. You are welcome to volunteer on the sign-up page if you are able to help. If you know of anyone who is interested in being a Lunch Recess Supervisor, this is a paid, part-time position on weekdays and can be flexible. Contact the School Office for more information.

Open House: Would you love to welcome new families to our school? We would appreciate your help with greeting visitors and/or showing them our campus this Sunday, January 22. Please visit our sign-up page to see what opportunities are available.
 
Lunch Room & Health Room: We would love your help in our lunch room and health room! Please visit our sign-up pages to see what opportunities are available. Please remember that volunteers must complete Safe Environment training before they can volunteer in the school

Volunteer Hours: Have you volunteered throughout the first half of the school year? Don't forget to submit your hours online! Please visit the Parent Service Hour Form for more information and to report your hours. 
COMMUNITY NEWS
Trivia Night at Town Hall Library: The Family/Team Trivia Night at Town Hall Library will be on Tuesday, January 31 at 6 p.m.! This year's Trivia Night is Disney-themed. Please visit their sign-up page for more information and to register. 

CMH Football Combine Clinic: Current 3rd-7th Graders are welcome to attend a Jr. Crusader Football Open House and Free Clinic at Catholic Memorial High School on Saturday, March 4 at 1 p.m. For more information and to register, please visit their website.
