MISSION STATEMENT: St. Charles Parish School in Hartland, Wisconsin nourishes and grows a vibrant Catholic community committed to innovation, responsiveness and compassion as it prepares and challenges students in their intellectual, spiritual and moral lives.

St. Charles was featured on the front cover of the most recent edition of the Catholic Herald! Please visit their website to read their article about our school's Box of Balloons project!
NEWS & NOTES
COVID Update: We currently have five students at home in isolation due to testing positive for COVID-19. Additionally, we have five students in quarantine due to being considered close contacts outside of St. Charles. Please remember to continue monitoring your child's health daily and keep your kids home if they are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or are not feeling well. We are grateful for all of your prayers and support for our students, staff, and school community!

Dress Down Day: As a gift from our Principals of the Day Graham, Hadley, and Eliza, students and staff can dress down tomorrow, January 21!

Catholic Schools Week: More information about Catholic Schools Week and a schedule of events/activities will be in next week's Rundown email!

TADS Billing: You may have received a bill for first semester dress down passes in your TADS account recently. This charge is for passes you ordered in early Fall and have already received, not for passes that are currently for sale. Please email the School Office with any questions.

Seminarian Goody Bags: We will be creating little care packages for Seminarians in the Archdiocese during Catholic Schools Week and are asking grade levels to donate a specific item and bring them by Tuesday, February 1. Below are the items we are in need of:
  • 3K, 4K, 5K - Chapstick
  • 1st & 2nd Grade - travel-size hand lotion or hand sanitizer
  • 3rd & 4th Grade - box of granola bar-type snacks (5 or 6 pack)
  • 5th Grade - fun-size bag of candy bars
  • 6th & 7th Grade - packs of mints
  • 8th Grade - packs of gum
Seeking School Supply Coordinator: The Home and School Association is looking for a volunteer to shadow the current 1st Day School Supply Coordinator this Spring and then take over the role the following year! This role can easily be done from home as it's mostly done through email communication and requires minimal time commitment. Please email Jen O'Brien if you are interested in the opportunity. It's a great way to easily obtain some volunteer hours!

Seeking SCRIP Co-Coordinator: Our current SCRIP coordinator is looking for another person to help count and monitor SCRIP inventory in the Parish Office as well as ensure delivery of online and in-person orders of SCRIP cards. This is a position that will share responsibilities with the current coordinator and is an excellent way to get your volunteer hours done. Please email Aimee Behnke with any questions!

Uniform Exchange Collection: The St. Charles uniform exchange is back! We are enthusiastically accepting donations of gently-used (no holes or tears please) uniform items. Bins will be available outside the School Office and at the West entrance of the school for you or your child to drop items off throughout the semester. We hope to build up some inventory and have sales starting next school year. We hope you'll consider giving these clothes a "second life" through the exchange!

Math Club: The St. Charles Math Club achieved Silver Level Status in the National Math Club! We are proud of these middle-school club members for their participation. The club is now working toward Gold Level Status. Club members are currently collaborating on their Gold-Level Project by creating math-based service projects for the students at St. Charles. Our Math Club is led by Mrs. Kathy Mullen.
