COVID Update:
We currently do not have any students or staff in isolation or quarantine. Please remember to continue monitoring your child's health daily and keep your kids home if they are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or are not feeling well. We are grateful for all of your prayers and support for our students, staff, and school community!
Parent Resources: We are greatly saddened by the tragic incident that occurred at the Christmas Parade in Waukesha on Sunday evening. Please continue to pray for all those that are suffering from this horrific event. If you are in need of some resources that provide tips for how to talk to children about violent and tragic incidents, please view the
Parent Guide that was provided by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
Teacher In-Service: On
Monday,
November 29, teachers will be participating in a professional development and faith formation series through Sustaining the Mission, a program facilitated by Cardinal Stritch University. Twice a year, teachers attend sessions that allow them to grow and understand our faith better so that they can learn new ways to teach students and implement more opportunities for them to develop and strengthen their faith.
SCRIP Volunteer Opportunity: Are you looking for a way to volunteer on weekends? We would love your help selling SCRIP in the Parish Office on
Sunday, December 5 and
Sunday, December 12 after the
9 a.m. and
11 a.m. Masses. If you are interested in helping, please
email Aimee Behnke.
Pizza Lunch: Our next pizza lunch is on
Wednesday, December 8! It is sponsored by our 8th Grade class to help raise funds for graduation. Please print and submit the
order form to the School Office by
Friday, December 3. We apologize, there is not a gluten-free pizza option at this time.
Trivia Night: A big thank-you to
Danielle Cruise,
Lisa Andekian, and the Home and School Association for all their work in providing a wonderful and highly-competitive night! Thank you to all those who attended to support St. Charles Parish School!
Book Fair Thank-You: Mrs. Acker would like to say thank you to everyone for helping St. Charles have a successful book fair! It was heartwarming to see so many students get excited about reading some new books! It was equally wonderful to see so many parents in person. A special thank you, too, to co-chair
Erin Plas and all of the wonderful parent volunteers who helped in so many ways. Thank you for supporting the love of reading!
Advent Silent Entrance/Exit: With joyful anticipation, we prepare for the birth of Jesus Christ throughout the season of Advent. To mark this season of waiting, we will bookend the week with silent entrance on Mondays and silent dismissal on Fridays. As students enter school on Monday mornings during Advent, the dimmed lights will remind students to remain silent as they prepare themselves for the day. Teachers will hold battery-operated candles and encourage students to complete their normal morning routines. On Fridays, students will leave their classrooms in silence. We encourage students to maintain this silence until they are in the car or on the bus. Thank you for supporting students in these times of silence to pause, wait, and prepare our hearts for the birth of the Lord. The first silent entrance will be on
Tuesday, November 30!
