MISSION STATEMENT: St. Charles Parish School in Hartland, Wisconsin nourishes and grows a vibrant Catholic community committed to innovation, responsiveness and compassion as it prepares and challenges students in their intellectual, spiritual and moral lives.

Dear Parents,

We apologize for any inconvenience yesterday's pick up may have caused with regards to the police department asking vehicles to move prior to our pick-up time. We did not receive any communication from the Hartland Police Department and were unaware that they would be stopping by. Thank you for rolling with it!

We sincerely appreciate your patience with our pick-up procedure in the first few days of the school year. We have gone from 25 minutes the first two days down to 13 minutes yesterday! Kudos to everyone for helping make our pick up as efficient and safe as possible. With that being said, our issue still remains having too many cars lined up on the street. In an effort to solve this issue, we will be implementing a slight change to our pick-up procedure effective today. You will enter the lot the same way; just keep an eye out for staff members to direct you where to go. As a reminder, our dismissal is at 3:25 p.m., and we are not able to open the parking lot until 3:10 p.m. Please plan accordingly as you are not permitted to line up on the street. Thank you for your help!

Following His plan,
Mr. Garvey
NEWS & NOTES
COVID Update: We currently have one staff member in isolation at home due to testing positive for COVID-19. Parents of students who may have been in contact with the staff member have been notified. Please remember to continue monitoring your child's health daily and keep your kids home if they are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or not feeling well. This is our biggest mitigation measure, and we appreciate everyone's efforts and sacrifices to keep our school healthy! More in-depth COVID-19 protocols to help provide clarification are coming soon, so keep an eye out for further communication in the coming days.

Parent Information Nights: We have decided to postpone our upcoming Parent Information Nights and have elected to send out videos from your classroom teachers. These videos will contain all of the information you and your child will need to help us all have a successful and enjoyable school year. Videos will be emailed out to you by the end of next week. Thank you for your understanding and support as we kick off this school year!

Father Daughter Dance: Save the date! The Home & School Association is hosting our 2nd annual Father Daughter Dance on Saturday, October 2 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Please join us for a Daddy Daughter Sweetheart Dance! The cost will be $30 per family. Proceeds will go toward St. Charles staff development and enrichment. More details coming soon!

Room Parents: Are you interested in being a room parent for your child's classroom? Please visit the Home & School Association's Signup Genius page for more information and to sign up.

8th Grade Commissioning Mass: We had a wonderful Mass last week Friday and commissioned our 8th Grade students as leaders of our school. It was a beautiful all-school celebration with 8th Grade parents and family members. Please keep our 8th Graders in your prayers as they take on this important role for St. Charles Parish School!
