MISSION STATEMENT: St. Charles Parish School in Hartland, Wisconsin nourishes and grows a vibrant Catholic community committed to innovation, responsiveness and compassion as it prepares and challenges students in their intellectual, spiritual and moral lives.

Dear Parents,

My wife Beth and I are filled with so much love and happiness with the arrival of our little Grace Elizabeth on Tuesday night! She is so sweet and just a little peanut. Everyone is healthy and doing well! We are anxiously waiting to get home so Danny can meet his little sister. Thank you for all of your prayers!

Following His plan,
Mr. Garvey

WHAT'S NEW?
COVID-19 Update: We currently have four students quarantining at home due to being considered a close contact after exposure to a positive case outside of St. Charles. We are extremely grateful for the tremendous efforts all of our families continue to make to help keep in-person learning going and our students and staff safe. Please keep our St. Charles School community in your prayers!

Staffing Updates: Mrs. Yvonne Markwardt, our 3K Aide, recently made the difficult decision to leave St. Charles. We have been very blessed to have Mrs. M with us for the past couple of years, and we will greatly miss her warm heart and strong faith that she has shared with our school community. Her last day was Friday, January 29, and we wish her all the best as she moves into a new chapter in life. We couldn't be happier for her!

On Monday, February 1, we welcomed Mrs. Amy Ferguson, one of our school parents and substitute teachers, who will be filling in as our new 3K Aide for the remainder of the school year. We are very excited to have Mrs. Ferguson join our team! Many of you know Amy as she is actively involved in many areas of St. Charles, and you can find her here almost any day helping out somewhere! A big thank you to Mrs. Ferguson for jumping into the 3K Aide position and continuing to serve our community!

Amazon Smile: Don't forget to use Amazon Smile to support St. Charles! Click Settings and then Amazon Smile to turn this feature on. Please select St. Charles Parish and School as your designated charity. This is an easy way to help support us!

Auction Buy-in Parties: Are you interested in helping with the Auction but aren't sure how? Consider hosting a buy-in party! Buy-in parties are a fun way to get together with a small group of people and do something you all enjoy. You can be creative when creating your party =E2=80=94 just think of something you like to do and would love to share with others. Some fun ideas include a murder mystery party, glamping/camping trip, or a game night. When you host a party, you get to choose all of the details (theme, date, how many people, etc). If you are interested in hosting a party or have questions, please contact Danielle Cruise

Eucharistic Adoration During Lent: St. Charles is offering additional hours of Eucharistic Adoration on Wednesday and Thursday mornings during Lent from 7-8:15 a.m. Adoration will begin right after 6:30 a.m. Mass and will be held in the Chapel. This is an awesome opportunity to spend some extra time with Jesus during Lent. Please consider signing up for a time slot; you can register for one or more days. Click here to sign up. If registration fills up for a day you are interested in, please contact Elizabeth Meier; additional seating will be available. We hope you will join us!

MATHCOUNTS: Five middle-school students are participating in the MATHCOUNTS Competition Series Club this year. Charlie (8th Grade), Owen (7th Grade), and Calleigh, Antonio, and John Paul (6th Grade) will be competing in the virtual MATHCOUNTS Chapter Competition from February 5-6. We wish these students well on their competition! We are proud of these mathletes for their accomplishments and achievements in the area of math. Mrs. Mullen, our middle school Math teacher, serves as their coach.
NEWS & NOTES
Inclement Weather: Just a reminder that we follow the Arrowhead School District regarding school closures due to weather. If they close due to snow or cold, we will also close. Please make sure to check local news channels and apps for closings as well as our school website and/or Facebook page. In the event that the school needs to be closed, we will send out an email to all parents. If St. Charles does not close due to a weather-related situation and you feel travel to school is not safe, you reserve the right as a parent to keep your child home for any reason you feel is necessary.

Spare Clothing: Please make sure your children have a change of clothing at school, particularly an extra pair of pants in their backpack and/or boot bag. We want to make sure students have a back-up pair in case they get wet during recess.

School Bus Driver Appreciation: Bus Driver Appreciation Week is from February 8-12! If your child rides the bus to and/or from school, please have them thank their bus driver. Greeting cards and treats are always appreciated, as well!

Hot Lunch: Please be sure to bookmark this page on Kettle Moraine's website so that you can easily reference information regarding hot lunch and to complete your order forms every week. Next week's order form will close tomorrow at 1 p.m. After you have ordered, you will receive a confirmation email. Check your Spam folder if you don't see it in your Inbox!
