MISSION STATEMENT: St. Charles Parish School in Hartland, Wisconsin nourishes and grows a vibrant Catholic community committed to innovation, responsiveness and compassion as it prepares and challenges students in their intellectual, spiritual and moral lives.

Dear Parents,

In case you didn=E2=80=99t get a chance to watch my Parent Info Night video, I wanted to make sure you are aware of some homework I gave you! We will collect these cards throughout the week at drop-off and pick-up, or you can stop by and drop off your homework at the main school entrance. We are all about spreading KINDNESS, and this is just another way we can do that for our students. Thank you for your help with this project and to all of you who have completed your homework!

Prayer Card: On an index card or small piece of paper=E2=80=A6

  • Note your child=E2=80=99s name somewhere

  • Front side =E2=80=94 write a special prayer

  • Back side =E2=80=94 write a note of encouragement directly to your child that your teacher can give them when they are having a hard day or just need a lift

  • Put them in a Ziploc bag/envelope and give them to staff members at morning drop-off or afternoon pick-up

Following His plan,
Mr. Garvey

WHAT'S NEW?
Office Closed: The School Office is closed today and tomorrow!

Room Parent Program: We still have the need for classroom parents in several grades/classes. Please check out our SignUp Genius and consider volunteering for this position in your child's class if there is an opening. Thank you!

Clorox Wipes: We are in need of Clorox Wipes! If you are able to donate some to St. Charles, we would greatly appreciate it!

2021 Auction: Save the date for St. Charles' Auction this Spring! It will be held on Saturday, April 17. More information will be coming soon!

Hot Lunch Updates: Please read this letter and follow the instructions to get signed up for the hot lunch program. As soon as we hire a food service employee, we will be able to launch our hot lunch program. Getting signed up ahead of time will ensure you are ready for your child(ren) to receive hot lunch right away.

Chess Club: Chris Seaman, our Chess instructor for the past couple of years, is interested in continuing to run our Chess Club here at St. Charles. As of right now, we are not able to do any after-school in-person clubs, but he is willing to start a virtual club as he is doing at other schools. If you are interested in signing your child(ren) up for Chess Club, please sign up using the Chess Club form to let us know that you are interested. We will communicate more information and next steps to those who are interested. Additionally, we are in need of a parent to facilitate/be the point of contact and help chaperone the group (when we can be in person).

Power School: Last week Thursday, students in grades 1-8 brought home instructions and login information for the Parent Portal for Power School. This will give you access to your child's information and allow you to monitor their grades. If you haven't received it, please call the School Office at 262-367-2040.

Annual Development Fund: Our Annual Development Fund (ADF) is in full swing! The ADF supports the mission of St. Charles Parish School by financially contributing to its programs, projects, classroom resources, and overall activities. Our goal for this year is $50,000. If you are interested in donating, you can click here for E-giving and select Annual School Development under the Fund dropdown menu. You can also mail in or drop off checks made payable to St. Charles Parish School. We are so grateful for your support!

Circle of Love: As you may have heard by now, St. Charles' Circle of Love program has been cancelled for this year. If you are not familiar with the program, that is when Christmas gift tags are chosen by our fellow parishioners to purchase gifts for needy families. With St. Anthony School in Milwaukee as our partner school, we have included gifts for ten families (one per school grade) over the past five years. The teachers there choose the family with the biggest need. We delivered between 85-105 total gifts to them each year. During this month's Outreach meeting via Zoom, they discussed the possibility of buying gift cards to Walmart and Target (through the SCRIP program) to give to the parents so they can purchase the gifts directly this year. With the profit from last year's Brat Shack event and some recent donations, there is enough to give each family $100. If you are interested in helping with a monetary donation or gift cards to these families, please drop it off at the Parish Office. Checks can be made out to St. Charles Parish (with Outreach Donation on the memo line) and placed in an envelope marked with Terri Blazek's name. Please email Terri with any questions. Thank you for your generosity!
