MISSION STATEMENT: St. Charles Parish School in Hartland, Wisconsin nourishes and grows a vibrant Catholic community committed to innovation, responsiveness and compassion as it prepares and challenges students in their intellectual, spiritual and moral lives.

Dear Parents,

We are now finishing up week four and finding our groove with the return to school. Students are doing an amazing job, teachers are working unbelievably hard, and parents are being supportive and flexible with all of the changes. I couldn=E2=80=99t be more proud of our school community for all the extra efforts being put forth to make this school year a success! Thank you for your part in helping keep our doors open by performing the at-home daily health checks and keeping kids home if they feel sick. We greatly appreciate your understanding of what needs to be done in order to keep everyone safe.

Following His plan,
Mr. Garvey

WHAT'S NEW?
Mask Mandate Extended: As many of you already know, Governor Evers has extended the mask mandate through November 21. St. Charles students and staff will continue to wear masks. We will reassess our mask policy as this date nears.

Hot Lunch: We are close to securing a new hot lunch program and hope to be able to offer our students hot lunch options within the month. One crucial component to making this work will be to hire a food service employee. This individual will be responsible for some food prep, minor cooking, serving, general kitchen cleaning, and a warm, smiling face (under the mask). The hours are approximately 10 a.m.-1 p.m. If you or someone you know is interested in this position, please email Principal Garvey.

Parent Information Night: We have plans to conduct our Parent Information Night a little differently this year (virtually) but will still make sure you receive all of the necessary information from your child's teacher(s). We plan to share videos by the teachers with an overview of what to expect for your child's class. You will receive the "Parent Information Night" Video the evening of October 1.

UPCOMING EVENTS
Culver's Dining Out: Culver's Dining Out will now be for a week, not just one night! This will allow for more distancing inside of their restaurant. Dining out at Culver's will be from Monday, October 5 through Sunday, October 11. Mention you're with St. Charles, and 10% of sales from the evening will be donated to the parish and school. Offer good for dine in or carry out.

Soles for Catholic Education Walk: The Soles for Catholic Education Walk is going virtual this year on Saturday, October 17! Get your family together, wear your St. Charles spirit wear, and go for a walk that day in support of our parish and school. You are also able to show your support by donating to St. Charles through the Soles for Catholic Education Walk website! Money raised through their website will be matched by sponsorship dollars donated by Walk Sponsors. The more we earn, the more money we will receive in matching funds! Money raised will go toward new playground equipment here at St. Charles. Please consider donating through the Soles for Catholic Education Walk website to help us receive matching funds.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
