Weekly Rundown for July 9

MISSION STATEMENT: St. Charles Parish School in Hartland, Wisconsin nourishes and grows a vibrant Catholic community committed to innovation, responsiveness and compassion as it prepares and challenges students in their intellectual, spiritual and moral lives.

Dear Parents and Students,

We have been actively planning for students to not only return to 5 days per week of face-to-face instruction but also to remain at St. Charles Parish School for the entire 2020-2021 school year. We are considering many factors for this Fall and are keeping the safety and well-being of students and staff our number one priority. We will take necessary and added steps to ensure the safety of all. 

In addition to being back to in-person instruction, we are planning for other scenarios, as well. As you know, our Distance Learning Team has been working quickly over the past couple of weeks to create a plan in the event we are directed to move to a remote-learning environment. With help from your feedback, the team has designed a comprehensive plan that is manageable and will maintain high academic expectations, allow every student to be successful, provide opportunities for staff, students,and parents to strengthen their relationship with Christ, and ultimately, allow students to continue to learn from home. The St. Charles Distance Learning Plan is in the finishing-touches stage and will be shared next Friday, July 17.

Another scenario that we are working on is creating a model that will allow students to continue learning if they are not able to come to school for an extended period of time due to illness and/or being directed to quarantine. Our Technology Committee is actively working to secure additional Chromebooks and webcams for each classroom. Our goal is to ensure that students are able to continue learning regardless of their situation.

Please continue to keep St. Charles Parish School in your prayers. We will be back =E2=80=94 let=E2=80=99s work together to stay back! Together, with Christ, we can do this!
