Parents and Students,
The St. Charles Parish School 2020 Auction "The Great Gatsby Gala" is right around the corner! I hope you have already secured your tickets, but if you haven't, please click here. I would love to celebrate St. Charles with you! Our auction team is still in need of some help. We are looking for a couple of additional volunteers for that evening as well as gift cards ($25 or greater). If you are able to help out, click here or drop off gift cards in the school office. Thank you for your continued support of St. Charles Parish School!
We are excited to continue our Catholic Schools Week celebrations with Mass as a school community on Friday at St. Joseph's Chapel - School Sisters of St. Francis. Students will need to wear a red polo with their khaki pants. Parents, if you would like to join us, please meet us at St. Joseph's Chapel (1501 S Layton Blvd, Milwaukee, WI 53215) by 9:30 a.m. Our buses are full, so we won't be able to have parents ride the bus with us. We hope you can join us at Mass, and thank you for your understanding.
We are looking for an additional lunch/recess supervisor to help for the remainder of the school year. If you have some time to spare (11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and would like to hang out in the lunchroom and on the playground with our students, please email me to learn more. Thank you so much to those of you who have volunteered your time to help out throughout the school year. I greatly appreciate the support and teamwork!
Following His plan,
Mr. Garvey

NEWS AND NOTES
Inclement Weather: This is just a reminder that we will follow the Arrowhead School District if there is inclement weather. If they close due to snow or cold, we will also close. Please make sure to check local news channels and apps for closings, as well as our school website. In the event that the school needs to be closed, we will send out an email to all parents. If St. Charles does not close due to a weather-related situation and you feel travel to school is not safe, you reserve the right as a parent to keep your child home for any reason you feel is necessary. One quick note to mention: please keep an extra pair of pants in your student's backpack and/or boot bag. We want to make sure students have a backup pair in case they get wet during recess.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Home & School Association: Our HSA needs you! Our Home & School Association (HSA) oversees fundraising and social activities at school such as Dress Down Pass sales, New Family Ice Cream Social, Dine Out nights, Trunk or Treat, and the Father/Daughter Dance. We also work together to ensure we have volunteers to help with school projects. We need parents to help fill the HSA positions that will be opening in the next year. Many of our parents have children in 7th and 8th grade and will be leaving the group, so we'd love to bring some new parents aboard to learn the ropes before our veterans head off to help with high schools! Our open positions are: VP Community & School Services shadow, School Commission Liaison, and President Elect for 2020-2021. For additional information, please click here. If you are interested, please reach out to Kristin Walsh, Alicia Dougherty, or any other HSA member!
