NEWS & NOTES
4 P's in a Pod: The October menu is now available. Check out their website to order!
Chess Team: The Chess Team is forming, and we're looking for students in 2nd through 8th grade who want to learn how to play chess or advance their knowledge of the game. All levels are more than welcome. Practices will likely be on Tuesdays or Wednesdays from about 5:30-7 p.m. at St. Charles and will be held about twice a month. Please contact Christina Holmes by Monday, September 16 to let her know of your interest. Thank you!
Scrip Information: There are many ways to buy Scrip gift cards! You can purchase them online (with the code 8F6L51D1476L), through the Scrip App, or in the Parish Office using the Parish Order Form. Students are able to bring the cards home to you if you complete the waiver form and return it to the school office.
Cub Scout Pack 24: Your son is invited to join Cub Scouts! Pack 24 is chartered by St. Charles Catholic Church. Boys in 5K through 5th Grade are eligible. Cub Scouts provide a wide range of exciting activities. Our program is designed to positively influence character development and encourage spiritual growth. The boys will develop habits and attitudes of good citizenship, sportsmanship, and improve understanding within the family. Cub Scouting fosters a sense of personal achievement by showing how to be helpful and to do one's best. Most of all, Cub Scouting provides boys fun and exciting new things to do! The Pack is sponsoring donut Sunday on September 15, so please stop by to learn more. Our first Pack meeting is on Tuesday, September 17 from 6:30-8 p.m. in the Parish Hall. We have a dynamic pack and would love to have more St. Charles families involved. For more information, visit our website at www.hartlandpack24.org or contact Brion Collins, Cubmaster, at (414) 807-6859 or via email.
Calling All 3rd through 8th grade Cheerleaders: Our cheerleading season will start in November. We'd love to have you join us!
Frequently asked questions:
- We cheer only at St. Charles home games (so not every weekend)
- You may play basketball and cheer. We will make sure that there are few/if any conflicts. Basketball would take priority over cheer.
- You are welcome to cheer with us, even if you have never cheered before!
Click here to sign up online, and please send Jane Walloch an email with your intent to join so that we can start planning our squads or if you have any questions.
Homework Club: Homework Club will begin on October 7. If your student would like to attend the weekly Homework Club, please fill out and return this form. If your student is interested in being a mentor/tutor, please have them complete and turn in this form.
