THE WEEKLY RUNDOWN
June 20, 2019

The Weekly Rundown

MISSION STATEMENT: St. Charles Parish School in Hartland, Wisconsin nourishes and grows a vibrant Catholic community committed to innovation, responsiveness and compassion as it prepares and challenges students in their intellectual, spiritual and moral lives.

Parents and Students,

Michael Rose: We recently received wonderful news about a St. Charles Parish School 2015 graduate and recent Marquette University High School graduate. Michael Rose was selected from a class of 231 students as Valedictorian for the Class of 2019 and finished his academic career at MUHS with a 4.09 GPA. MUHS noted, "It is also an affirmation of the formation provided by St. Charles prior to him being a student at Marquette University High School.=E2=80=9D We are very proud of Michael for his outstanding accomplishments and his continued service to St. Charles. This past school year, he initiated and led the Science Olympiad program at St. Charles. We wish him well as he will attend the California Institute of Technology this fall.

Hot Lunch Program: We received notice that our hot lunch provider, Taher, will no longer be able to service St. Charles. Starting this summer 4 P=E2=80=99s in a Pod will be working with us to provide our students with a hot lunch option. Please know that there will be significant changes in our hot lunch program, but we are confident that 4 P=E2=80=99s in a Pod will be a great fit for St. Charles. Please keep an eye out for a separate email in the coming weeks with more information in regards to ordering, prices, menu options and new procedures.

ADF: As you know money raised through our Annual Development Fund helps bridge the gap between tuition (about $3,600) and the true cost to educate a child which is about $6,000. The ADF supports the solid Catholic education we=E2=80=99re able to offer at St. Charles Parish School. If you still have your Annual Development Fund offering envelope at home, please consider making a donation and bringing it to Mass this weekend or send it in the mail. You can also make a donation online through our e-giving site. This is a safe, secure and easy two-step process and it takes about five minutes to make a donation. Thank you for your consideration to this important fund. With your continued support, we will continue to flourish and offer a premier Catholic education to our community.

Parade: We are gearing up for the Hartland Hometown Parade and need some help. We have been most fortunate for the years of service from all of our families that have taken the lead and organized this wonderful event. This year, we are blessed to have the use of a fire truck from the Woelfle Family to lead us through the streets of Hartland! We are looking for students and families to come out and walk with us to show our school pride! Please join us on Sunday, June 30th. We will gather at the parade staging area in Hartbrook Drive between 12:45 pm and 1 pm and the parade starts at 1:30 pm. We will travel down Merton Avenue to Capitol Drive and eventually end at Nixon Park. If you are interested in walking, please sign up HERE. Wear your St. Charles spirit wear or past parade t-shirts! Also, bring some candy (non-chocolate) to hand out to children and adults as we walk. I am looking forward to this annual event!

TADS Accounts: Please check your TADS account during the next week to complete any tuition, lunch and/or SCRIP charges. All charges (lunch, SCRIP, library books, etc.) for the month of May/June (if applicable) have been added to your TADS account. All payments should be made prior to June 30, 2019 and please know late charges will be added if TADS bills are not paid. We greatly appreciate your attention to this matter as we close out the fiscal year.

Summer Office Hours: It's been nice to see parents who are stopping in to pick up items for their kids. Even with no classes in session the school is busy with crews who are cleaning classrooms  and refurbishing the gym floor. Just a reminder that the School Office is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Of course, please know that we are always a phone call (262-367-2040) or email away if you need anything.

 Following His plan,

Dan Garvey
Principal
St. Charles Parish School
