The Weekly Rundown

MISSION STATEMENT: St. Charles Parish School in Hartland, Wisconsin nourishes and grows a vibrant Catholic community committed to innovation, responsiveness and compassion as it prepares and challenges students in their intellectual, spiritual and moral lives.

Parents and Students,

Well, here we are, entering our last week of school for the 2018-2019 School Year! It has been an absolute joy and pleasure working with students and staff this year and seeing our students flourish. We are all very excited for these last couple days of school and we encourage students to continue to Choose Christ each and every day. Our last day of school is an early release day on Thursday, June 6th and classes are dismissed at 11:45 am for students in 5K through 7th Grade and 11:30 am for students in 3K and 4K.

Special Author Visit:  On Friday, May 17th, one of our parents, Elizabeth Dufek, parent of Alex Lovern (6th), came in as a guest author. Mrs. Dufek visited many of our classrooms to read her book, "The Traveling Dress," that was recently published. She also spoke with the students about her experiences in writing and the writing process, something our students are always working on. A big thank you goes out to Mrs. Dufek for taking the time to come share her love for writing with our students!

Field Day:  Last week Thursday, our team of parents, teachers, and student leaders led and facilitated an amazing Field Day! A special thank you to Mrs. Supple, Mrs. Nelson, and Mr. Maltsch for all their work organizing and leading this special day for our students. They had a blast! Thank you to all the parents who came out and led events, served food, and cleaned up. Another special thank you goes out to John Grogan, Jeff Walloch, Chris Thorsen, and George Raab for lending their grills and their master grilling abilities! And lastly, thank you to the 8th Grade parents and staff members that joined in the softball WIN against the 8th Graders.

Following His plan,

Mr. Garvey
