Dear Parents,
Thank you to everyone who joined us at our all-school Mass last Tuesday for St. Charles Borromeo's Feast Day! We were blessed to be joined by Ed Foy and Mary Tretow from the Archdiocese of Milwaukee's Office for Schools, who visited our campus to present our Exemplary Recognition for Mission & Catholic Identity Award. We are incredibly grateful to receive this honor and are so proud of our students, staff, and families whose dedication and faith-filled commitment made this achievement possible!

NEWS & NOTES
Pizza Lunch: Our 8th Graders are sponsoring our pizza lunch fundraiser on Wednesday, November 19! Please print and submit the order form to the School Office by tomorrow, November 14. No hot lunch will be served that day. Sorry, no late orders will be accepted.
Winter Clothing Reminder: As winter quickly approaches, please be sure to have your child bring cold-weather attire such as hats, gloves/mittens, and coats to school everyday so that they stay warm during recess.
Jingle Shop: We are looking forward to the Jingle Shop on Wednesday, December 3! Your children will have a chance to shop during school hours that day. Our donation box is still in need of items! An envelope will be sent home soon with a shopping list attached. Please indicate who your child should shop for and what the budget for each person is. Gifts will range from $3-12 per item. We are also looking for many volunteers to help set up the day before and gift wrappers and shopper helpers the day of the event. Please check out our volunteer page to sign up.
Advent By Candlelight: Women are invited to focus their hearts and minds on what it truly means to prepare for Christ's birth during the Advent season at our Advent by Candlelight event on Thursday, December 4 at 6:15 p.m. in the Borromeo Hall. This will be an evening to enjoy warm fellowship, sweet treats, Advent songs, prayer, and an inspiring reflection on how to have a "Mary" Christmas in a "Martha" world. Please visit our website to register.
Basketball Uniforms: With the purchase of new jerseys for our basketball teams, we are now selling the old ones to help raise money for our basketball program. If you are interested in purchasing jerseys or shorts, please check out the online list.
Support Our Service Members: In honor of Veteran's Day, our Student Council is collecting donations to send care packages to support our service members overseas. Specialist (SPC) Samuel Roznowski, a St. Charles Class of 2016 alumnus, is currently serving with his Army unit in the Middle East and will be stationed there for approximately one year. Please join us in honoring our service men and women in Sam's area by donating single-serving size, non-perishable, and non-melting items by Friday, November 21. Examples include small cans of Pringles, licorice, beef jerky, beef sticks, gum, mints, individual bags of cookies, pretzels, trail mix, nuts, dried fruit, fruit snacks, and snack-size candy. If your family would like to donate money to help with shipping costs instead of a listed item, please send cash in an envelope marked "Military Donation" to the School Office. Thank you in advance for your generosity and thoughtfulness. Please keep Sam and all of our service men and women in your prayers!
Book Fair Update: We would like to extend a huge thank you to our school and parish community for all the wonderful support during this year's Book Fair! We had one of our best years, and we could not have done it without all of you! We especially appreciate all the volunteers who helped make the Book Fair happen and the teachers who supported their students by cultivating excitement leading up to the Book Fair. We are so blessed to be able to add new titles to our school library from what we earned during the Book Fair. Mrs. Rasmussen is beyond grateful! God bless and keep reading because adventure awaits!
