Scott Currier

Worship Musician

Scott believes that God has led him to St. Charles several years ago when he became the pianist for the Sunday night Mass before he left to be the Director of Liturgy and Music at St. Mary Parish in Waukesha, WI. He once was told that one of the signs of a vibrant parish is its music program and he truly feels like he has come back home to continue that tradition of excellence at St. Charles as the Worship Musician.

Scott graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a degree in Piano and minor in English Literature. He also received certification in Liturgy from the University of Notre Dame. Aside from his calling to serve the church, he has also played professionally as a freelance pianist for over twenty-five years in a wide variety of musical styles including jazz, classical, and pop. Formerly, he taught private piano lessons as well.

Over the years, Scott has felt the Holy Spirit calling him to serve the Church through music. His dad is a retired pastor in the UCC Church, and on Pentecost in 2017 Scott was received into the Catholic Church. His faith background is varied and, like most of us, his journey in faith has been full of many twists and turns and several surprises along the way! Scott is married to his amazing wife, Bridget, and they have a busy house of seven kids. He is also an avid Packer fan, loves movies and, of course, loves listening to and playing music.
