Student Discipleship Co-lead

I moved here from Roanoke, VA two years ago to begin this position as Student Discipleship Co-Lead after graduating from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2020 with a degree in Theology and Catechetics and a concentration in Youth Ministry. In my job here, I’m blessed to be able to minister to our Middle School students by leading and coordinating our EDGE Ministry, as well as to serve our High Schoolers on Life Teen Core Team and Confirmation Retreats.

I was involved as a student in my own parish youth group beginning when I was in middle school and I'm so blessed that the Lord has called me to meet and walk with young people who are at the same stage in life that I was at when I encountered Him in a personal way. I grew up Catholic, but didn't really experience the faith as important in my life for a very long time. I felt that I was going through the motions when it came to Jesus and was beginning to ask questions about who I was and where I belonged, when I went to a Steubenville conference the summer after 8th grade. I encountered the Lord and the Church as living and vibrant for the first time and eventually, I felt that the Lord was leading me to Franciscan to study theology. My desire to love and serve Him in youth ministry has steadily grown in my formation at Franciscan and through my time here at St. Charles and I'm really excited to see what He continues to do in and through this ministry!
