School Counselor

Having been a teacher and guidance counselor, I am all too familiar with the excitement and planning involved with preparing for a new school year! As a teacher, most of my career was in the primary grades, but I also have experience at the middle-school level. I served the elementary school community during my school guidance counselor tenure. I have gained much knowledge and insight throughout my experiences and believe that it has fostered a comprehensive approach when working with students to include building relationships and open-hearted communication. I have gathered many tools along the way and plan to use them for assisting students with meeting their individual needs and goals.

My career has been in the secular domain, so to have this chance to incorporate my Catholic ideals and be supported with this endeavor brings me great joy. I am a Catholic School alumnus and have been blessed with having my education rooted in a strong faith foundation. It has helped shape and guide me throughout my life. Therefore, it is a great honor to be able to provide this same experience for the St. Charles families. My hope is to instill the Ignatian principle, “Pray as though everything depended on God; act as though everything depended on you.”

I moved to Wisconsin in September 2020 from San Antonio, Texas. I am originally from Chicago and am familiar with Midwest winter! Since I arrived, I have been working as a licensed professional counselor in the Waukesha area. When I am not working, I enjoy yoga classes, hiking, art, spending time with family and getting to know all the wonderful offerings of the Lake Country and Milwaukee areas. And of course, I have to mention my two little Chihuahua mix dogs, Logan and Cosmo, who not only take up a lot of my time but most of my heart!
