St. Vincent de Paul Weekly Update

FOOD PANTRY NEEDS: baked beans, canned pears, cleaning supplies, tuna

On September 27th, St. Charles' SVdP ministry will be celebrating the feast day of its namesake, St. Vincent de Paul. Vincent de Paul is remembered for his compassionate service to the poor and needy and for starting the Daughters of Charity along with Louise de Marillac. It was Vincent de Paul's concern for the poor of France that inspired young Frederic Ozanam to name his charitable organization after the saint. St. Charles' SVdP ministry is able to continue St. Vincent de Paul's and Frederic Ozanam's work through the generosity of parishioners and other benefactors. Recently, our pantry and its patrons were the recipients of a generous donation from Modern Woodman. God bless all who help us feed the hungry.

If you are in need of food, the SVdP food pantry is located at 229 Lawn Street, Hartland. It is open Tuesdays between 10 AM and noon. It is also open on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month between 5:30 PM and 7 PM. If you need other assistance or are interested in becoming a member of our ministry of compassionate service to the poor and needy, please contact us at 262-367-0800.
